To use your own words: I beg to differ. We have a site license for in-house use of Oracle. The subject of license for internet site came up. We checked MSSQL server prices and got a competitive offer from oracle. We went the oracle way. When you add the price of the license + training costs + having to manage to different DBMS etc. Oracle can be the less expensive choice.
BTW Antonio wrote that they are already an Oracle shop.
