Dennis,
In the install instructions for 8i on Linux you are instructed to link
the cc to the gcc. Try linking it and see if it solves your problem
ln -s gcc cc

Hi All,
I am doing a test installation of Apps11.5.5 and ran into a problem
during
pre-install check:
There is an alert saying the system utility 'cc' is not found. I asked
our
SA to install it but was told that we did not have license for 'cc',
we
only have 'gcc' which is free.
Now can we get away with 'gcc' here or do we have to buy 'cc'?

TIA
