Kirti, I believe the question is: is there any way to migrate from 7.3.4 directly to 9i. Assuming that to be correct the answer obviously is no, unless you want to take the export/import route. The reason is that in migrating from 7x to 8x the rowid's in the database went through a major change that you can't bypass.

But there are other 3rd party tools to unload and load data. Any particular reason to not use what's provided by Oracle? - Kirti -----Original Message----- Sent: Thursday, February 07, 2002 12:08 AM To: Multiple recipients of list ORACLE-L Hi Is there any Migration utility from 7.3.4 to 9i availabel ? , other than provided by Oracle , Thx Sameer -- Please see the official ORACLE-L FAQ: http://www.orafaq.com -- Author: Ghadge,Sameer INET: [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- Please see the official ORACLE-L FAQ: http://www.orafaq.com -- Author: Deshpande, Kirti INET: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fat City Network Services -- (858) 538-5051 FAX: (858) 538-5051 San Diego, California -- Public Internet access / Mailing Lists -------------------------------------------------------------------- To REMOVE yourself from this mailing list, send an E-Mail message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (note EXACT spelling of 'ListGuru') and in the message BODY, include a line containing: UNSUB ORACLE-L (or the name of mailing list you want to be removed from).
