Hamid,

    For the most part you can't do any DML within a function or sub
function/procedure that modifies data within the database.  Oracle requires a
certain purity level as defined in the Oracle Application Developers guide. 
Give me another day & I'll cite you page & paragraph.  But I've been there
before on this one.

Hi List,

How can I run a store procedure inside a function?
I have a store procedure to do some DML, and we can not run it from our
application for some sort of limitation, only we can call function from
application side, Is there any way to run this store procedure inside a
function or some thing like this
Another question is can we do some DML inside the function or not??
