John,
Thanks for the info. Our interest (listening Mark) is wrapped around the
fact that the three of us DBA's have anywhere from a 15 minute to an hour & a
half (namely ME) commute from home to work each way, the greenest of us has the
shortest. That's not really that bad since I and the rest of the crew are
conservative & proactive with the databases so they are very stable & have
little down time. Last year we had 6 hours of scheduled and unscheduled down
time, 5.5 hours of which was due to power outage. Not bad, but with our
PoepleSoft implementation right around the corner& the fact that the company
really runs 24 hours a day, our helpdesk manager is getting very scared. This
idea has gone a long way to making her feel better. Our network geek is looking
into who can and for how much provide the wireless support.

Dick,
I was there with Steve (Orr *and* Adams) besides others, and we had Ari pull
up a variety of PDAs with PocketDBA/PocketSA and had a quick Demo. I am not
easily impressed, but I was this time with this cool toy. The PocketSA is
really neat since it gets to the command line (which we all love). However,
I would recommend using the widest, brightest PDA [not choosing one is not
good for eyes our age ;-) and a good service provider. Pricey, but nice, and
very essential if you travel around a lot.
