how are the snapshots refreshed ?

Dear Gurus,

I have made 10 tables as snapshots . And I want to refresh them for specific intervals.

How can I do that ;

I have tried DBMS_SNAPSHOT.REFRESH_ALL_MVIEWS but could not succeed .

How is it done ?
