My guess is that it's as likely a virus or Trojan as deliberate. My wife got it last weekend on AOL somehow. In about 10 minutes this thing managed to mail out over 1000 emails with the Trojan attached... AOL detected that something wasn't right and killed her session and locked out the account. We downloaded the latest McAfee virus signature file and walah, there it was, nasty Trojan.
