If you use shell-based authentication then you can connect
via DBI and DBD::Oracle with:

    my $dbh = DBI->connect( "dbi:Oracle:$db", '', '' );

(i.e., empty string for both user and pass). $db would be
the tns name for whatever you're connecting to (see the
DBD::Oracle manpages for examples).
