Check your tnsnames.ora and verify in CONNECT_DATA you have SERVICE_NAME (instead of SID) and the value of SERVICE_NAME=db_name.db_domain. For example, if your db_name=orcl01 and db_domain=world then SERVICE_NAME=orcl01.world.
