Do these qualify?
* Far too much emphasis on Oracle's GUI tools (OEM, DBCA, etc.)
* Too little emphasis on understanding & too much on "knowledge" (i.e. rote
memorization)
* Treating ratios as the holy grail of tuning
* etc...
