I ran 'statscre' again and got the same message again. It seemed to prevent SQL*Plus from logging into any account. So, I quit, re-started SQL*Plus and logged in as Perfstat and ran the remaining two scripts, which then completed without incident.
I have been able to take a couple snapshots with statspack over the last 3 hours and now I have another question. But new question, new email. > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Tom > Schruefer > Sent: Tuesday, May 21, 2002 11:53 AM > To: Multiple recipients of list ORACLE-L > Subject: RE: Statspack Problem > > > > > > -----Original Message----- > > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Reardon, > > Bruce (CALBBAY) > > Sent: Monday, May 20, 2002 10:08 PM > > To: Multiple recipients of list ORACLE-L > > Subject: RE: Statspack Problem > > > > > > Have you connected via BEQ or Net8 initially? > > Have you got oracle_sid set as an environment variable, as it > > looks like the connect perfstat/perfstat uses a BEQ connection. > > > > It does not look as though the SID_NAME parameter was set on the system I > was trying to install too.
