How a connection gets established when we don't specify the connect string (i.e. sqlplus usr/pass ...typically when working in a Server) ? This type of connection is established as LOCAL=YES and uses BEQ protocol as opposed to TCP in case of client-server mode by SQL*net V2/net8.
Question:1 When a request is made for this type of connction ( without connect string ) how it gets resolved and ultimately connects to the database ? Question:2 Is there any kind of *.ora file ( like sqlnet.ora ,protocol.ora etc ) which is used/accessed to establish this direct connection ? __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
