Hmmmm...On separate occasions, I've placed iTARs on Windohs, Linux, and HP/UX. When asked, I've run RDA. I don't remember the specific problems from the Windohs RDA, but I never did get it to work.
On a 9i DB on Linux (RH7.1), I ran into problems with the DB logon, and a couple of other things that we didn't have installed like "procinfo". There is also an attempt to access /etc/networks, which we don't use. Don't know if that's a big deal or not. The file looks like a network alias list. On 8.1.7 on HP/UX 11.0, RDA hangs during "Processing: Unix Environment", probably while trying to run an awk script. I've sent feedback to the e-mail listed on Metalink for RDA, but never received a reply. Hmmm...memory's not what it used to be -- I don't recall receiving a reply. :( Rich Jesse System/Database Administrator [EMAIL PROTECTED] Quad/Tech International, Sussex, WI USA > -----Original Message----- > From: Rachel Carmichael [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Friday, June 07, 2002 9:28 PM > To: Multiple recipients of list ORACLE-L > Subject: RE: Oracle one-off Patch Install util > > > RDA was written (or at least managed) by Anita Bardeen who used to > spend a good deal of time on this list...she'll be happy to know you > like it! > > Rachel -- Please see the official ORACLE-L FAQ: http://www.orafaq.com -- Author: Jesse, Rich INET: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fat City Network Services -- (858) 538-5051 FAX: (858) 538-5051 San Diego, California -- Public Internet access / Mailing Lists -------------------------------------------------------------------- To REMOVE yourself from this mailing list, send an E-Mail message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (note EXACT spelling of 'ListGuru') and in the message BODY, include a line containing: UNSUB ORACLE-L (or the name of mailing list you want to be removed from).
