Are Concurrently Accessible MOUNTED FILE SYSTEMS (NOT Raw FS) possible on AIX ? If so which , on what machine platforms , AIX versions , Oracle versions ?

You will need to purchase the HACMP software with the CRM/PSSP options. I have successfully implemented the OPS predecessor to RAC on the pSeries and SP2 architectures w/either IBM or EMC disk subsystems. One word of caution. If you go the EMC route make sure you load the EMC software after you have loaded all the IBM HACMP/ES/CRM software or you could be in for a ride figuring out how to make your disks concurrently accessible. Also note that there are different procedures for creating concurrently accessible logical volumes depending in the model of IBM disk. EMC disks must be treated as RAID type disks in accordance with the installation documentation!!!
