We have a similar problem with a vendor supplied application. We solved it (at least we masked the symptom) by increasing the ODBC timeout in the user's W2K registry.
The vendor app uses an ODBC connect to a CORBA broker (OpenLink) on the server. It's a bank rec that was only returning a portion of the payroll checks issued. David A. [EMAIL PROTECTED] om 06/14/2002 03:43 PM Please respond to ORACLE-L We have a VB app that uses Oracle as the database. The users noticed a limitation in the amount of records being returned from the database. So they decided to increase the memory of the PC and some additional volume of records were returned. ?? Has anyone using VB/Oracle noticed this?? Is this simply a sign of bad coding? Trying to load up all the records into memory, and therefore failing? Any clues, references or links would be appreciated.
