I invest in stocks all the time .. long and short. I would not touch Oracle stock with a 10 foot pole. The company has major problems , excesses that need to be worked off and cleaned out, a business plan that is outdated, and MSFT and IBM are now starting to cut into Oracle's market share with DB2 and SQL*Server. All of these tech and biotech companies probably have another 3 to 9 months before their stock prices bottom and another 1 to 2 years before you see them rise again. I have been shorting stocks like ORCL CSCO JDSU JNPR and all the rest of them for a couple years now and the pay off has been good. I you want to buy a stock, stick with stocks that have good fundamentals in a bull market. At the present time there are not to many of those and we are NOT in a bull market. Save your money.\
