Did you join these tables by HASH_VALUE to other tables (or to each other) and discover that quirky bug relating to the 32 bit arithmetic?
HASH_VALUE in v$sqltext is signed whereas HASH_VALUE in v$sqlarea is unsigned. This can cause joins to fail. Check for negative HASH_VALUE in v$sqltext. http://www.jlcomp.demon.co.uk/lost_sql.html Good Luck, Ed -----Original Message----- Sent: Tuesday, June 18, 2002 12:21 PM To: Multiple recipients of list ORACLE-L Can a statement be in V$SQLAREA and not in V$SQLTEXT at the same time? -- Please see the official ORACLE-L FAQ: http://www.orafaq.com -- Author: Orr, Steve INET: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fat City Network Services -- (858) 538-5051 FAX: (858) 538-5051 San Diego, California -- Public Internet access / Mailing Lists -------------------------------------------------------------------- To REMOVE yourself from this mailing list, send an E-Mail message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (note EXACT spelling of 'ListGuru') and in the message BODY, include a line containing: UNSUB ORACLE-L (or the name of mailing list you want to be removed from).
