Hi,
We have a cold backup of sunday evening and all the archive log since that....
we lost the hard disk containg files of 3 tablespaces...and moreover we don't need
this tablespaces anymore......
1) we restore the cold backup containg all the datafiles except this 3 tablespace
datafiles.......
2) startup nomount
3) create controlfile and remove reference to datafiles of this 3 tablespaces.......
4) recover database until cancel using backup controlfile.........
5) alter database open resetlogs......
6) drop this 3 tablespaces manuallu with command :
drop tablespace name including contents and datafiles;
7) Now everything looks normal but when we do backup controlfile to trace it has
following lines along with create controlfile syntax........
