More infor for my previous posting: > I got ora-12560 for a 817 database on Win2000. > > H:\>set ORACLE_SID=dlylastg (SID set correctly) > H:\>svrmgrl > ORA-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error > SVRMGR>
SID is set correctly entry correctly made in tnsnames.ora The 817 db is on a database server (NT), and I'm using my local machine to access it. The sqlplus user/pwd@sid works fine, but svrmgrl gave me ora-12560. My colleuge can use svrmgrl to access that remote db without problem. --- "Concannon, Eugenia" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > check your tnsnames.ora > > -----Original Message----- > From: Leslie Lu [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Wednesday, July 03, 2002 4:11 PM > To: LazyDBA.com Discussion > Subject: HELP! ora-12560 ??? > > > Hi, > > I believe this has been posted many times, well, I > cannot fix it, and metalink doesn't help. > > I got ora-12560 for a 817 database on Win2000. > > H:\>set ORACLE_SID=dlylastg (SID set correctly) > H:\>svrmgrl > ORA-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error > SVRMGR> > > Any suggestion?
