In Entity Relationship modeling, the entity names are singular. This is
because
an entity refers to a single instance of the object described.

Tables should be plural, as they refer to many instances of each object.

At least that works for me.

        Subject: Table Naming Conventions

Many thanks to all for your feedback and advice! As I suspected, naming
conventions are really a matter of someone's personal preference, and
what's really important is to keep it standard and consistent.

One [hopefully] last question: What's the consensus (if there is such a
thing) on plural vs. singular table names?
