I need to free about 600 MB of space on a Unix file system so that I can create an export dump file of a database. Our sys admin is out of the office and I am trying to move a directory (it contains sub-directories) across file systems. According to the manual I have, mvdir only works within a file system; and I cannot find a command to copy a directory. Is there a way to do this??
