The editor of choice for me is Ultraedit (www.idmcomp.com) At $25 per copy/seat it's damned good. Syntax highlighting for C, HTML, and several others included plus you can customize it very easily. Mine's set up for Pro*C, SQL, PL/SQL, and SQR (via PeopleSoft). Also allows one to edit Unix files via FTP. Been using it for three years now & I still haven't learned all of it's capabilities. Sweet!!

And it's free! <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 3.2//EN"> <HTML> <HEAD> <META HTTP-EQUIV="Content-Type" CONTENT="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"> <META NAME="Generator" CONTENT="MS Exchange Server version 5.5.2654.45"> <TITLE>RE: Dba tools on NT</TITLE> </HEAD> <BODY> <P><FONT SIZE=2>> -----Original Message-----</FONT> <BR><FONT SIZE=2>> [EMAIL PROTECTED]</FONT> <BR><FONT SIZE=2>> </FONT> <BR><FONT SIZE=2>> Scripting: Perl, because it can do anything you ask of it.</FONT> <BR><FONT SIZE=2>> Editor: Vim - www.vim.org - same reason</FONT> </P> <P><FONT SIZE=2>Actually I like this little text editor:</FONT> <BR><FONT SIZE=2><A HREF="http://www.fixedsys.com/context/" TARGET="_blank">http://www.fixedsys.com/context/</A></FONT> <BR><FONT SIZE=2>One of its advantages is its syntax highlighting.
