In a datawarehouse you want to exploit parallelism as much as possible. So you'd better with many processors and independant mount points.
As raid 5 is very popular because it's cheaper, you will probably put your data on raid5 but fight to put your redo on non raid 5 disk. Do you have a good idea of the architecture ? Will you load the data daoly, weekly, monthly ?
