Perl comes with Oracle for Unix too, with 9iAS.

Side comment: I think an important part of why Perl is so useful (and so
widely used) is the existence of two of the best technical books ever
written:

* Wall, Christiansen, Orwant: Programming Perl (O'Reilly)
* Christiansen, Torkington: Perl Cookbook (O'Reilly)
