Also it helps to use "create or replace" instead of drop and create. First it's one statement vs two and second it retains any grants.

How can I get the definition for the view out of database so that I can drop it and recreate it? Might there be any issues with just dropping and recreating it? How do other people handle this when then import goes well except for one view being invalid? -- Please see the official ORACLE-L FAQ: http://www.orafaq.com -- Author: Eric Richmon INET: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fat City Network Services -- (858) 538-5051 FAX: (858) 538-5051 San Diego, California -- Public Internet access / Mailing Lists -------------------------------------------------------------------- To REMOVE yourself from this mailing list, send an E-Mail message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (note EXACT spelling of 'ListGuru') and in the message BODY, include a line containing: UNSUB ORACLE-L (or the name of mailing list you want to be removed from).
