Inka Bezdziecka,
oops ... my previously reply wasn't complete and didn't indicate the right context. My apologies if the reply wasn't very clear. As I have logged a TAR with Oracle Support, I was waiting for a reply from Oracle. That is why I put in the line "Both are Oracle products and I expect an Oracle reply." I have generated a client-side [the Windows SQLPlus 8.0.6 side] Trace File and uploaded into the TAR. Regards Hemant I had said : > > Thanks for pointing out the Note. > > However, Note 19796.1 isn't very helpful. > > It does talk of buffersize, and I have tried changing > > the Arraysize (but not the buffersize) in sqlplus. > > The note seems to indicate that the problem could be in > > the client application. > > When querying across a db-link, which would be the client ? > > The database where the db-link exists (9.2.0.1) or the > > SQLPlus (8.0.6 on Windows) where the query is fired ? > > Both are Oracle products and I expect an Oracle reply.
