Also keep in mind that if you use the assistant to go from 7.x to 8.x, the system tablespace will grow at least 2x. During the migration process, both the 7.x and 8.x data dictionary exists. For our Oracle Applications 10.7 instances with 55,000 objects, this was not acceptable. We instead exported/imported. This also gave us the apportunity to move to LMTs.

Don't have the box specs yet but I think it is a 3 CPU HPUX with 2 GB Ram and a couple of unmirrored disks. -- Please see the official ORACLE-L FAQ: http://www.orafaq.com -- Author: Post, Ethan INET: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fat City Network Services -- (858) 538-5051 FAX: (858) 538-5051 San Diego, California -- Public Internet access / Mailing Lists -------------------------------------------------------------------- To REMOVE yourself from this mailing list, send an E-Mail message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (note EXACT spelling of 'ListGuru') and in the message BODY, include a line containing: UNSUB ORACLE-L (or the name of mailing list you want to be removed from).
