This is very rare that one would loose every online log files for the instance.
Hey, I don't think the advice here could be bad, it is the discretion of the user who is going to use it. KG and/or Arun, Anyways, I'm more interested in KG's comment about "you will have to do some more tricks to get the database up if it is crashed (read: shutdown ABORT)."
