I think "DUMMY" is MS reserved word :-)
And yes,

SELECT CHAR(33) -- no semicolon

will work.

So Oracle statement SELECT TO_CHAR(33) FROM DUAL
is in TSQL only
SELECT CHAR(33); ?

I was searching docs, but didn't find it. I know on Sybase SQL Anywhere is
it
DUMMY, but it doesn't work on MSSQL (and DUMMY is on MS SQL reserved word!!)
