the only way i see it can work is to implement a snapshot in the remote
database and create a trigger there.

Greetings All,

We have a before insert trigger on a table. We want this trigger to fire
when the data is inserted locally and don't want this trigger to fire when
the insert is done from a remote database using database link.

Does any of you have any idea how to achieve this.
