Rachel, I have saved over 2000 messages, from various posters, in my Oracle-l (oratips) folder, going back to 1998. And I still scan that folder before I go to Metalink (we still run 7.3 in production ;) When it comes to Oracle, I think I have learned a lot from people on this list. They all are more helpful to me that I am to them.
And thanks to all of those of thinking of my name for the list. But as others have mentioned, making such a list may be a never ending task. Therefore I add these names : Ferenc Mantfeld, Joe Testa, K Gopalkrishnan (X$KG), Kevin Toepke. Lastly a big Thank You to Jared Still for all his work to keep this list going. It's not just a place for learning Oracle. I found a few good friends on this list !! Thanks. - Kirti -----Original Message----- Sent: Monday, November 25, 2002 10:24 PM To: Multiple recipients of list ORACLE-L Robert, As others have pointed out, this can be dangerous! Right now my inbox has about 700+ messages saved from lots of posters, I'd save more but Yahoo has a 6MB limit and I haven't had time to archive off messages... anything that I think might be useful, regardless of the poster. I try to read most messages however on days when I am pressed for time, I do delete a bunch but make sure I read anything by the following (yes, it's more than 10) because I KNOW I will learn. And for those of you who included me in your lists, thank you but I have only one thing to say. WHY?? Please note the list is in alphabetical order, so as not to anger any of *my* Oracle Gods! Kirti Deshpande Larry Elkins (I don't always understand his posts but I read and save them because I learn!) Stephane Faroult Dan Fink Robert Freeman Tim Gorman John Kanagaraj Anjo Kolk Jonathan Lewis (he doesn't post often enough!) Connor McDonald Cary Millsap Jared Still Jeramiah Wilton and those I miss: Steve Adams, Mogens Norgaard, Gaja Krishna Vaidyanatha any and all omissions are due entirely to the fact that it is WAY past my bedtime :) Thank you all for teaching me! --- "Freeman, Robert" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Board - > > If you had to choose the 10 top posters here at Oracle-L who provided > the > biggest input and > knowledge, who would they be?
