I installed oracle 9.2 on RH 8.0 and there weren't any major issues. The only problem was that RH 8.0 comes WITHOUT XMMS!!!! I had to download XMMS myself and to manually relink all my plug-ins (alarm, gtk_list, normalization, 3D sound and some others). I also had to manually recompile lame and cdparanoia and download grip rpm from rpmfind.net. RH rendered my 2000+ MP3 files that, of course, I have only for testing purposes, completely useless without a large effort on my part. This was completely outrageous!
