MAXLOGHISTORY integer Specify the maximum number of archived redo log files for automatic media recovery with Oracle Parallel Server. Oracle uses this value to determine how much space in the control file to allocate for the names of archived redo log files. The minimum value is 0. The default value is a multiple of the MAXINSTANCES value and depends on your operating system. The maximum value is limited only by the maximum size of the control file.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note: This parameter is useful only if you are using Oracle with the Parallel Server option in parallel mode, and archivelog mode enabled. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----- Original Message ----- To: "Multiple recipients of list ORACLE-L" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, December 17, 2002 11:43 > while creating the instance, parameter MAXLOGHISTORY specifies this... > my guess is that you have to recreate the controlfiles > > > ---------- > > From: Jim[SMTP:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > > Reply To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > Sent: Tuesday, December 17, 2002 4:38 PM > > To: Multiple recipients of list ORACLE-L > > Subject: how many records will be keep in v$log_history? > > > > how to modify the default vaule for v$log_history? > > > > > > -- > > Please see the official ORACLE-L FAQ: http://www.orafaq.com > > -- > > Author: Jim > > INET: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > > > Fat City Network Services -- 858-538-5051 http://www.fatcity.com > > San Diego, California -- Mailing list and web hosting services > > --------------------------------------------------------------------- > > To REMOVE yourself from this mailing list, send an E-Mail message > > to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (note EXACT spelling of 'ListGuru') and in > > the message BODY, include a line containing: UNSUB ORACLE-L > > (or the name of mailing list you want to be removed from).
