Have you checked the trace file or the alert log ? The error stack is simply a list of 
functions calling each other and returning errors (f1 calls f2 calls f3 calls f4, f4 
detects an error, prints a message, returns an error status to f3 which prints a 
message, returns an error status to f2, etc.... - 'de-stacking' errors, so to speak, 
hence the name). This kind of information should normally be found in the trace file 
generated by ckpt. Short of that, what you can do is use some kind of hex editor to 
look at the names of files in the control file (or use 'strings' under Unix) and 
check, one by one, that all the datafiles referenced in it are accessible and have the 
size you would expect. Simplest of all would probably be to try to restart your 
database, the error message should explictily name the file ...
