Shuan - If you go to http://www.google.com/search?hl=en <http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=max_rollback_segments> &ie=ISO-8859-1&q=max_rollback_segments you can find a lot of information on this parameter. Oracle needs to allocate a finite amount of memory to manage rollback segments, so there must be a upper boundary somewhere. Unfortunately, you've hit it and must bounce your instance to change it. Just think of it as your lucky day. ;-)

Thanks in advance. -- Please see the official ORACLE-L FAQ: http://www.orafaq.net -- Author: DENNIS WILLIAMS INET: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fat City Network Services -- 858-538-5051 http://www.fatcity.com San Diego, California -- Mailing list and web hosting services --------------------------------------------------------------------- To REMOVE yourself from this mailing list, send an E-Mail message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (note EXACT spelling of 'ListGuru') and in the message BODY, include a line containing: UNSUB ORACLE-L (or the name of mailing list you want to be removed from).
