Agentctl start (from the command line...not in lsnrctl)

We just upgraded the ORACLE from 8.1.7 to 9.2 on SUN server.
I tried to start up the "intelegent agent" on it and have error happen.
%lsnrctl dbsnmp_start

I am pretty sure this command is correct.
Does anyone know why?
