Hi, I have an update statement that affects 1 record in a table.There is a trigger associated with this update that updates few other tables and not the parent table that will triiger the update trigger.
With the trigger enabled the update of 1 record on the parent table takes about 40 seconds and without the trigger the update takes about 1 second. When the updates are operating on different tables(locking not a issue) why do i see this delay in execution of the update statement.
