It's a well known fault, digital interference - ask any support guy they'll be sure to clock digit=finger.
I'd also like to apologise to anyone who got any of my work messages stating that their message could not be scanned and therefore was the spawn of satan (or some similar such wording :( ). Apparently paranoia (sp?) is a good character trait in an auditing organisation.
