Anyone use third party tools for monitoring Oracle (which I like to think I'm not a complete novice at), *and* MSSQL (um which I am). I have an unusual opportunity to buy third party software whilst we wait for the MSSQL training to kick in and I'd like to buy something genuinely useful for an experienced Oracle DBA dumped with 8 sqlservers , including a payroll system.Usefull not pretty would be my criteria - though pretty BCHR graphs might convince the purse string holders that they have a good deal as well.
