That really is an open-ended question. I assumed database best practices and standards for various RDBMS-related activities. Metadata being another form of database documentation. Hmmm.

Documenting a database - means the assmbly of metadata. We have done it in
considerable detail, by extending the Oracle data dictionary to ensure that
all documentation is held in database tables.

last year.
