Hi, friends:
I will soon migrate a database from 8170 to 9203, and also upgrade the standby
site to 9203 with data guard. And I want to limit the downtime to minimum. Please give
me some suggestions. The following is my planned steps:
        1. Install 9201 on target database server, without creating a new instance and
database.
        2. Patch the 9201 to 9203. (I can do this while database is running)
        3. Startup migrate the 8170 db and run u080107.sql and other migration steps.
        4. Open the primary database and do backup on primary to make new standby.
(4.or I install the same software on standby site and migrate the standby db
to 9203 at the same time?)

Is it the optimal steps? Can i patch the 9201 before migrate the database? (I
have not done this before).
