The ways of man (and Oracle) are mysterious and not to be questioned, I guess. If some document said "set the COMPATIBLE parameter to 9.0.2" I would bet it's a typographical error. Good luck with your database! Let us know what happens. I've upgraded several database from 8.1.7 to 9.2.0 with no problems, if that's any consolation to you. :)
-----Original Message----- Yes. But why is it asking for 9.0.2? I set it to 9.2, 8.1.7, and 9.0.2 just to give it a try. -----Original Message----- I guess this is a silly question, but could it be that Oracle didn't like the COMPATIBLE = 9.0.2 since there is no 9.0.2? -- Please see the official ORACLE-L FAQ: http://www.orafaq.net -- Author: Jacques Kilchoer INET: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fat City Network Services -- 858-538-5051 http://www.fatcity.com San Diego, California -- Mailing list and web hosting services --------------------------------------------------------------------- To REMOVE yourself from this mailing list, send an E-Mail message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (note EXACT spelling of 'ListGuru') and in the message BODY, include a line containing: UNSUB ORACLE-L (or the name of mailing list you want to be removed from).
