Hi Rajesh,

Try this as well on 9iR1, I don't have access to 9iR2 today to try it
there:

oracle:jupiter> orapwd file=pete password=change_on_install
oracle:jupiter> strings pete
Z[\]
ORACLE Remote Password file
INTERNAL
2C0791C2F3E3BB92
D4C5016086B2DC6A
oracle:jupiter>

The word SYS seems to have disappeared from the file, Aaron shows it in
his and Marlenes book. The word SYS doesn't appear in 8.1.7 either.

The password file still contains the INTERNAL alias. INTERNAL never was
a user though just a sort of alias and hence never appeared in
SYS.USER$.

Looks like some of the implementation has remained to support as sysdba
ect but the command connect internal has been removed.

interesting though

kind regards

Pete
