Have you tried using SYS_CONTEXT('USERENV','<attrubute_name>')?
 
where <attribute_name> may be
 
SESSION_USER - for the user who logins in.
IP_ADDRESS - the ip address of the client machine
OS_USER - the OS user
 
etc.
