that you've hit some coalescing bug. Error message looks like AIX, but you
haven't listed anything. Try with "dmesg" and see whether there are any errors on the OS side. AIX can do aio on JFS and there might be a problem or one of your raw devices isn't reachable any more (SAN perhaps?).

I shutdown and restarted and since then Ive noticed that only certain queries hang and the SMON process is running at 50% CPU.
This Test service has been running for ages, allthough I did do an upgrade to the Application a week ago.
Its the end of day so I will leave it running and see if SMON finishes. Ive checked space etc..checked metalink briefly but if any of you can give me some suggestions I will try them.
