Script to check filename continuously

Hi All

Does anyone have script(DOS batch file or Unix Shell) to do the following
stuff?

loop
if exist FILE_NAME
      begin
            do something;
            copy files to remote machine,etc...
            EXIT;
      end;
end loop;
