Two questions to anyone that has worked with compressed tables.
1. Have any work arounds been discovered to alter tables and say add
columns after a partition has been compressed and then uncompressed?
2. In looking at a block dump of a compressed 9.2 block you can see the
following pieces of information after the Tosp (total available space when
all TXs commit):
r0_9ir2=0x0
mec_kdbh9ir2=0x2b
r1_9ir2=0x0
76543210
flag_9ir2=------OC
fcls_9ir2[20]={ 0 32768 32768 32768 32768 32768 32768 32768
32768 32768 32768 32768 32768 32768 32768 32768 32768 32
768 32768 32768 }
perm_9ir2[38]={ 30 26 12 16 0 25 27 28 17 31 32 23 13 33 34
19 1 35 24 21 22 36 37 29 2 14 3 18 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 15 11
20 }
Are these symbol table entries or something else?
Thanks
