If you are using the BUFFER= parameter of the export, remove it and you
will see much improvement!

Basic info:

- RAC 9.2.0.2,
- dual node Alhpa ES45 cluster,
- CPU @ 1GHZ, very fast disk drives,
- sys and system schemas ARE NOT analuzed.

Full export (compress=n statistics=none) takes two hours. Very same
database,
but version 8.1.7 on older Alpha server, takes less than 30 minutes!
Export
file is about 1.5 GB large.

NO user activites durring export, no system load except exp executable.

I did tracing on export session (10046, level 12) and saw that queries
against
EXU9RLS, EXU9PCT and EXUTAB are taking a lots of time. When export comes
to "..
exporting synonyms" it hangs. Eventually, after hour it is finished.

Database works without any other problem.

Oracle support (iTAR) was not very helpful.

Any clue? I may copy and paste parts of tkprof output to clarify, if
someone is
interested.

Thanks,

Vladimir
