Can anyone explain this?

SQL> /
COUNT(*)

SQL> CREATE TABLE EMPLOYEE_ROLE AS SELECT * FROM USER_TABLES;
CREATE TABLE EMPLOYEE_ROLE AS SELECT * FROM USER_TABLES
*
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-00955: name is already used by an existing object
Any ideas?
