Sorry for the OT, but I would really appreciate it if someone could point to a URL for this, or even better, if you have the answer.
I am trying to do something seemingly simple: configure Evolution to use mplayer as the program of choice to view video files ( mpg, mpeg ) that are received in email. Sounds simple enough doesn't it? Apparently not. An exhaustive google search has failed to find anything helpful. I'm using Gnome 2.something. gnome-file-types-properties was used to setup mplayer as the default player for mpeg: didn't help. ( yes, I restarted evolution ) Please reply off list.
